Parker County Sheriff’s Posse Frontier Days
Celebration and Youth
Live Stock Show
The Parker County Sheriff’s
Posse Frontier Days Celebration and Youth Live Stock Show has
been a county tradition dating back to 1947.
The Parker County Youth Live Stock Show begins Monday at 7 a.m.
and runs through the end of the week.
A parade will follow the traditional South Main Street route
Wednesday at 5 p.m. from the Ninth Grade Center to Oak Street,
then on to Cherry Park, where entries will disburse. Blue Belles
will participate in this parade.
Also beginning Wednesday, rodeo performances will start nightly
at 7:30 p.m., ending with Saturday’s final performance.
Blue Belles and Parent Volunteers will
work each night at the Rodeo event. Please be sure to
wear your Blue Belle Shirts
Reserve tickets for the rodeo are $10 each with general
admission for 12 and older at $8 each. Admission for children 11
and under is $5, with free admission for children 5 and under.
All tickets can be purchased in advance through the Weatherford
Chamber of Commerce.

 “So You
Think You Can Dance.. Belles Tour 2011: Season 30”!
The annual Belles spring show’s theme for this year is “So You Think
You Can Dance..Belles Tour 2011: Season 30”! The show will feature
the Belles performing numerous dance styles including jazz, pom,
lyrical, novelty, hip hop, and kick as well as other dance groups
from the area. It is a fun 2 and half hour variety show and will be
sure to entertain thousands of people who attend as well as
celebrate the Belles 30th Anniversary!
The annual Belles Spring Show will be held in the WHS Durant
Auditorium on Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7th. The
pre-show, Senior presentation, begins at 7:00 p.m. and the show
begins at 7:15 p.m. Tickets are $5 each for advance sales or $7 at
the door.

Calling all Forever Belles!!!
Come be a part of the 30th anniversary
Spring Show celebration. We need all Forever Belles to perform at
the Spring Show, Saturday, May 7th, 2011. Rehearsals will be at WHS
April 12, April 21, and April 28 from 7-9 PM. The routine will
eventually be posted on youtube and facebook in case you can't make
rehearsals. Our final rehearsal will be May 7th from 3:30-4:30
immediately following the Forever Belle reception from 1-3 @ WHS.
Please come be a part of this special day and spread the word!!!!!

The WHS Blue
Belles soloists and ensembles will be competing on Friday, Feb 25 in
the Danceline Classic Contest here at Weatherford High School. The
following Belles will perform in the Main Gym at the following
times. There is an $8 admission charge but the admission also
includes Saturday, Feb 26th all day. 32 additional teams
will be here to compete on Sat as well!!

PHYSICAL EXAMS FOR ALL DANCERS
All 2010-11 Belles, JV JAZZ,
Highsteppers and Allstars must have completed physicals. JV
JAZZ must be completed by July 27th, Belles must be completed by
Wed. August 4th, and Highsteppers / Allstars must be completed
by Sept 1st.
Dr Bart Robbins from Robbins Pediatrics
has generously offered to give Belle physicals again this year.
All money raised through this process will be donated back to
Belles and the dance department to purchase props and music for
the Fall of 2010.
You may get your physicals 2 ways:
1) Buy a coupon from Mrs. Carter or Ms
Duck for $25 and call to make an appointment at his office 1212
Clear Lake Road 817-596-3500. This can be done anytime during
the summer at your convenience and you MUST have a coupon.
Please let them know you are a Belle or JV Jazz member and that
you have a coupon when you call. You must present the coupon at
time of appt.
To get a coupon, please email Mrs.
Carter or Ms Duck by
June 16th........
2) On August 4th, Dr Robbins and his
staff will come to WHS to perform physicals but the cost will be
$35 each and will only be limited to the 1st- 20 dance team
members.
Please
download physical form , print it, and
take with you to the appointment. Thanks to Dr Robbins and be
ready to "Dance Healthy and Happy"!

The WHS Blue Belle Dance and Social Officers were hostesses at
the Southwest Autogroup Car Show on May 23rd sponsored by the
Parker County Cruisers. Many thanks to the Parker County
Cruisers and Southwest Ford for helping the officers raise $1000
toward their annual leadership and dance camp to be held in
Dallas June 6-9.

"Broadway Dance Tour"
in New York City!
  
The WHS Blue Belles
recently returned from a "Broadway Dance Tour" in New York City!
The Belles experienced all types of dance opportunities including
-Two Broadway shows, "The Lion King" and "Mary Poppins",
-Taking
classes at the Broadway Dance Center from show dancers and
choreographers,
-Touring Radio City Music Hall and meeting Rockettes,
-Impromptu performance at the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park,
-and
seeing Monica Moore and Nick Spangler who are current New York
residents and working in the New York Dance/Show scene.
Monica is a
Forever WHS Blue Belle (1998-2002), 3 year Dallas Cowboy
Cheerleader, singer and dancer for Holland America Cruise line, and
currently is attending Hunter College working on a Choreography
degree as well as auditioning and starring in various shows and
commercials.
Nick Spangler just finished a broadway tour of "The
Fantastiks" with star Lorenzo Lamas and was the recent winner of
television's show of "The Amazing Race" with sister Starr.
In addition to the
dance activities, the Belles went to the

It was an exciting and memorable trip!! Thanks to all
who made this a reality. It was truly a chance of a lifetime.

Congratulations
to the Weatherford Blue Belles
2/7/2010

...for
winning "Circle of Champions" Team and Officers on Saturday, Feb
7th at the Showtime International DFW Championship Contest! 30
teams from the North Central Texas area competed for awards at
RL Turner High School in Dallas. The Belles competed in 3 team,
3 officer, and 3 solo divisions. In the solo division, Junior
Shelby Carter was one of the top 7 finalists and was named 1st
runner-up as the most outstanding solo of the day.

Senior
Captain Madison Walker and Freshmen Natalie Hinrichs received
Division One, Superior ratings on their solos. In addition,
Freshmen Natalie Hinrichs was named one of the Top 3 "Kickmaster"
Finalisits for the best highkicks of the day.
A
summary of all the awards achieved by the Belles are as follows:

school Division. Natalie Hinrichs was selected as one of the
Top 3 "Kickmaster" finalists for best highkicks of the day.

Nika Orm Carter ,
Director of the Weatherford Blue Belles and Hall MS Highsteppers was
selected as the
2010 Director of the Year
from the Texas Dance Educator's Association at their annual
convention Jan. 6-9 in Houston. Over 400 educators, 167 Texas All
State Dance Team members and 125 exhibitors were present at the
annual event.
